The Douce Apocalypse
CVMA (GB) author, Nigel Morgan has written a lavishly illustrated study of the famous Douce Apocalypse, a manuscript made in England c.1270 for Prince Edward, later Edward I, and his wife Eleanor of Castile. ISBN 1-85124-360-7; 13-digit ISBN 9781851243600. £19.99. Available on-line from the Bodleian Bookshop.
Cathedrals and Abbeys by Stephen Friar contains over 1,200 entries and follows a similar format to the author’s best selling Sutton Companion to Churches. It is published in hardback, 244 x 172mm, 448 pages, 25 colour and 150 black and white photographs. £25.
