Welcome to the final issue of Vidimus for 2017. This month’s feature highlights an excellent on-line resource for stained glass enthusiasts. Focusing on the stained glass of Cornwall, it brings together a gazetteer of the county’s medieval windows, beautiful photography, and research and discussion by a long-standing local authority. Our review reports on a recent two-day international conference exploring the methodologies, themes and challenges of studying and interpreting 19th and 20th stained glass. We also bring news of two current exhibitions likely to be of interest to our readership, flag an upcoming major publication, and, last but not least, deliver the findings of new scientific research on a stained glass urban legend.
The Vidimus team wishes its readers a very happy holiday season and a peaceful New Year.
